Chimehill at a glance for audiology clinics
Picking up while the desk is busyThe call is answered
Chimehill picks up as your clinic when your team can't, day, night and weekends, and works out what the caller needs.
Your diary is checked live
Before offering a time, it reads the real free slots in your practice software, using only the appointment types and practitioners you allow.
Saved, then confirmed
Bookings, moves and cancellations are saved in your practice software first. Only then does the caller hear it's done.
You can't take a call from the sound booth
In an audiology clinic the audiologist is in the booth, the door is shut and the phone keeps ringing. Many callers are older and ring once, so a missed call often becomes a lost booking. Chimehill answers each one calmly and books the test if it can.
In the boothDoor closed. Phone ringing.
Your audiologist is in a sound-treated room and can't step out for the phone.
Lunch breakThe desk is empty
Reception steps away, but older callers still ring once and expect an answer.
After hoursThe clinic is closed
People ring in the evening to book a hearing test. Chimehill answers and books them in.
Answer every call without leaving the booth

Books hearing tests
Diagnostic hearing assessments and follow-ups with the usual audiologist, each at the length you set, into a real slot in your diary.
Books hearing-aid reviews
Device fittings, reviews and tune-ups as their own appointment type, so a 15-minute check never lands in a full assessment slot.
Handles reschedules
Moves and cancels appointments after an identity check, reads your notice policy and re-checks the new slot before anything is saved.
Covers after hours
Evenings, weekends and public holidays: callers book or leave a message instead of ringing off. Older callers hear a calm, human-sounding voice.
Loops in your team
NDIS plan questions, Hearing Services Program enquiries, device troubleshooting and anything clinical go to the team with a short summary. It never gives clinical advice.

Chimehill reads your live diary in Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite or Nookal and books in real time. A caller is told they're booked only once your software saves it.

Chimehill never assesses hearing or advises on devices. A caller describing sudden hearing changes or pain is offered a callback from an audiologist, and urgent language follows the escalation script your clinicians approved.

Questions clinics ask us
Which tests and reviews can it book?
Diagnostic hearing assessments, follow-ups and hearing-aid reviews, fittings and tune-ups — each at the length you set in your practice software. Chimehill only books the appointment types you allow it to, with the audiologists you choose.
Does it answer NDIS or Hearing Services Program questions?
No. NDIS plan questions and HSP eligibility, voucher and provider-choice questions depend on the caller's paperwork, so they go to the team as a callback task. Chimehill still books the appointment if the caller wants one.
How does it handle older callers?
Calmly and at the caller's pace. It uses a clear voice, repeats back the booking so the caller can confirm, and offers a human transfer or a callback whenever the caller asks for one.
What about hearing-aid troubleshooting questions?
Device problems, repairs, feedback and app questions go to the team as a callback — Chimehill never guesses. It can still book a review in the meantime, with what-to-bring taken from your approved notes.
Is this an audiologist answering service for hearing clinics and hearing-aid centres?
Yes, with bookings on top. A traditional audiologist answering service or hearing clinic answering service takes a message and passes it on; a hearing aid clinic answering service does the same for review and tune-up calls. Chimehill answers, books the hearing test or review into your software, and leaves clinical questions for your audiologist.
Where is caller data stored?
Identity is checked before any booking is revealed or changed, and summaries stay administrative — hearing-test results and device records are never read on the call. The practice sets what Chimehill can confirm.
Which practice software does it book into?
Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite and Nookal, live as of October 2026. Chimehill reads live availability and only says an appointment is booked once your software has saved it. Using something else? Tell us when you book a demo.
Can we keep our clinic phone number?
Yes. You forward calls to Chimehill — all calls, only overflow when the desk is busy, or only after hours — and you can change that or switch it off whenever you like.
How much does it cost?
Plans start at $249 a month (AUD) for 100 calls; the recommended plan is $379 for 200 calls. Calls past your allowance are $2.70 each. Every plan starts with 14 days free and there are no lock-in contracts.
Will callers know they're talking to an AI?
Yes. Chimehill introduces itself as your clinic's virtual receptionist on every call, and a caller who asks for a person always gets your configured fallback — a transfer or a callback.
Every call deserves an answer.
