AI receptionist for dietitians

Chimehill is an AI receptionist for dietitians. It takes bookings while you're in session and sends nutrition questions to you.

At a glance

  • The call is answered

Chimehill picks up as your clinic when your team can't, day, night and weekends, and works out what the caller needs.

  • Your diary is checked live

Before offering a time, it reads the real free slots in your practice software, using only the appointment types and practitioners you allow.

  • Saved, then confirmed

Bookings, moves and cancellations are saved in your practice software first. Only then does the caller hear it's done.

The problem

New clients ring in the evening. You're mid-consult.

Dietitian consults aren't short — a first visit often runs an hour, and new clients tend to ring once, after dinner, when they've finally decided to book. If no one picks up, they often don't try again. Chimehill answers each call calmly and books the intake into your software.

    The door is closed

You wouldn't step out of a 60-minute intake to answer the phone.

You draft the plan and the phone rings three times.

What it does

Answer every call without leaving the consult

Photo of a quiet dietitian practice reception area
  • Books new-client intakes

First visits as the longer appointment type (usually 45-60 minutes), telehealth or in person if you offer both, into a real slot in your diary.

  • Books review check-ins

Shorter follow-ups with the usual dietitian, so a 20-minute check never lands in a full intake slot. Identity is checked before any booking is changed.

  • Handles reschedules

Moves and cancels bookings within your notice policy and re-checks the new slot before saving. Old slots are freed for someone else.

  • Covers after hours

Evenings, weekends and public holidays: callers book or leave a message instead of ringing off. New clients who ring at 8 pm get a time, not voicemail.

  • Loops in your team

Medicare EPC referral and rebate questions, NDIS plan queries, meal-plan content and anything clinical go to the practice as a callback. The AI never gives nutrition advice.

Integrations

Connect to the software you use daily

Chimehill reads your live diary in Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite or Nookal and books in real time. A caller is told they're booked only once your software saves it.

Careful with every call

Chimehill never gives nutrition advice. A caller asking about their meal plan, allergies or symptoms is offered a review or a callback from the dietitian, and urgent language follows the escalation script your clinicians approved.

  • Never clinical. No diagnosis, triage or treatment advice
  • Checks who's calling before opening or changing a booking
  • Urgent or distressing calls follow the escalation script your clinicians approve
  • Tells callers they're booked only once your software confirms it

FAQ

Questions clinics ask us

Can it tell the difference between an intake and a review?

Yes. First visits are booked as your initial-consultation type (usually 45-60 minutes), reviews as the shorter follow-up type. Existing clients are identified first, then offered their dietitian's real free times, never squeezed into a short review slot by mistake.

Does it answer Medicare EPC or NDIS questions?

No. Chronic disease management plans, EPC rebate limits, NDIS plan cover and managed vs self-managed status depend on the caller's paperwork, so they go to the practice as a callback task. The appointment can still be booked on the same call.

Will it give nutrition or meal-plan advice?

No. Any question about a meal plan, food, allergies, intolerances or a specific condition goes to the dietitian — Chimehill never advises. It can offer a callback or book a review, and keeps the call summary free of clinical content.

Can it book telehealth consults?

Yes, if telehealth is an appointment type in your practice software and you allow Chimehill to book it. It confirms whether the appointment is in person or telehealth before saving.

Where is caller data stored?

Identity is checked before any booking is revealed or changed, and summaries stay administrative — meal plans and intake answers are never discussed on the call. The practice sets what Chimehill can confirm and to whom.

Which practice software does it book into?

Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite and Nookal, live as of October 2026. Chimehill reads live availability and only says an appointment is booked once your software has saved it. Using something else? Tell us when you book a demo.

Can we keep our clinic phone number?

Yes. You forward calls to Chimehill — all calls, only overflow when the desk is busy, or only after hours — and you can change that or switch it off whenever you like.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $249 a month (AUD) for 100 calls; the recommended plan is $379 for 200 calls. Calls past your allowance are $2.70 each. Every plan starts with 14 days free and there are no lock-in contracts.

Will callers know they're talking to an AI?

Yes. Chimehill introduces itself as your clinic's virtual receptionist on every call, and a caller who asks for a person always gets your configured fallback — a transfer or a callback.

Every call deserves an answer.
