At a glance

Chimehill at a glance for chinese medicine clinics

Photo of a calm, bright clinic reception with patients waiting and a receptionist at the deskPicking up while the desk is busy
  • The call is answered

Chimehill picks up as your clinic when your team can't, day, night and weekends, and works out what the caller needs.

  • Your diary is checked live

Before offering a time, it reads the real free slots in your practice software, using only the appointment types and practitioners you allow.

  • Saved, then confirmed

Bookings, moves and cancellations are saved in your practice software first. Only then does the caller hear it's done.

The problem

Your phone rings mid-treatment

In a Chinese medicine clinic the phone rings while you're placing needles, mixing a herbal formula or writing up a dispensary order. Many callers ring once, so a missed call becomes a lost client. Chimehill answers each one, so the room stays calm.

    Mid-treatment

A quiet room. A ringing phone.

Needles are in. You can't walk out to answer the phone.

  • Photo of an empty front desk at lunchtime with a ringing phone

    The desk is empty

Reception steps away, but new clients still ring.

  • Photo of a small clinic at night with the lights off
    After hours

    The clinic is closed

People ring after work to book acupuncture. Chimehill answers and books them in.

What it does

Answer every call without leaving the treatment room

Photo of a Chinese medicine clinic reception running smoothly
  • Books initial consults

The longer first appointment with intake and tongue and pulse review, at the length you set, into a real slot with the right practitioner.

  • Rebooks a course

A short course of acupuncture or cupping with the same practitioner, each slot re-checked before saving so you never double-book.

  • Takes herbal pickup calls

Pickup times for herbal formulas, refill requests and "is my prescription ready?" calls — passed to your dispensary so you don't step out of a treatment.

  • Answers clinic questions

What to wear, how long it takes, parking and fees, from answers you approve. It never claims what acupuncture or herbs can treat.

  • Loops in your team

Health history, herb-drug interaction questions and "will acupuncture help my condition?" go to your practitioners with a short summary.

Integrations

Connect to the software you use daily

Chimehill reads your live diary in Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite or Nookal and books in real time. A caller is told they're booked only once your software saves it.

Careful with every call

Chimehill never says what acupuncture or Chinese herbs can treat, and never takes health history on the phone. Herb-drug questions and anything clinical go to your practitioners, and urgent language follows the escalation script you approved.

  • Never clinical. No diagnosis, triage or treatment advice
  • Checks who's calling before opening or changing a booking
  • Urgent or distressing calls follow the escalation script your clinicians approve
  • Tells callers they're booked only once your software confirms it

FAQ

Questions clinics ask us

Can it book initial consults?

Yes. You choose the appointment type for new clients, and Chimehill books the initial consult as that longer type, offering only real free times.

Can it handle herbal-medicine pickup calls?

Yes. It takes the caller's name and number and passes the pickup or refill question to your dispensary as a callback task. It never reads or quotes a prescription.

What if someone asks a herb or medication question?

That's a clinical question, so it goes to a practitioner as a callback. Chimehill never guesses on herb-drug interactions, dosing or formula changes.

Will it take a new client's health history?

No. Chimehill doesn't collect health details on the call. Intake questions go to your team as a callback task, so your own intake form or first visit stays the same.

Does it cover TCM and Chinese herbal medicine clinics?

Yes. The same desk works as a TCM answering service and a Chinese herbal medicine answering service: it books acupuncture consults, takes dispensary pickup calls and routes herbal and prescription questions to the practitioner.

Which practice software does it book into?

Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite and Nookal, live as of October 2026. Chimehill reads live availability and only says an appointment is booked once your software has saved it. Using something else? Tell us when you book a demo.

Can we keep our clinic phone number?

Yes. You forward calls to Chimehill — all calls, only overflow when the desk is busy, or only after hours — and you can change that or switch it off whenever you like.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $249 a month (AUD) for 100 calls; the recommended plan is $379 for 200 calls. Calls past your allowance are $2.70 each. Every plan starts with 14 days free and there are no lock-in contracts.

Will callers know they're talking to an AI?

Yes. Chimehill introduces itself as your clinic's virtual receptionist on every call, and a caller who asks for a person always gets your configured fallback — a transfer or a callback.

Every call deserves an answer.
