  • The call is answered

Chimehill picks up as your clinic when your team can't, day, night and weekends, and works out what the caller needs.

  • Your diary is checked live

Before offering a time, it reads the real free slots in your practice software, using only the appointment types and practitioners you allow.

  • Saved, then confirmed

Bookings, moves and cancellations are saved in your practice software first. Only then does the caller hear it's done.

The problem

Your phone rings during a fitting

A prosthetic or orthotic fitting takes real time, and you can't stop halfway. Callers ring about adjustments, pickups and NDIS questions during that window and after hours. Chimehill answers every one, so you can finish the fitting in front of you.

What it does

Answer every call without leaving the workshop or fitting room

Photo of a prosthetics and orthotics clinic reception running smoothly
  • Books fitting appointments

A fitting booked as the longer appointment you've set, with the right clinician and the time your workflow needs, into a real slot.

  • Books adjustment reviews

Review and adjustment appointments as their own type, each slot re-checked before saving so a short review never lands in a fitting slot.

  • Takes pickup and callback requests

Device pickup times, repair questions and "is my orthotic ready?" calls — passed to the workshop so you don't step out of a fitting.

  • Answers clinic questions

Opening hours, parking, access and what to bring, from answers you approve. It never advises on a device or a limb.

  • Loops in your team

NDIS plan status, service agreements, insurance pre-auth and pain or fit problems go to a clinician with a short summary.

FAQ

Questions clinics ask us

Can it tell a fitting apart from an adjustment review?

Yes. You set a different appointment type for each, and Chimehill books into the right one. A short review never lands in a long fitting slot.

Can it answer NDIS plan or funding questions?

No. Plan status, line items and self vs plan-managed depend on the client's paperwork, so they go to your team as a callback. It can still pencil in a review.

Can it handle device pickup calls?

Yes. It takes the caller's name and number and passes the pickup question to your workshop as a callback. It never says whether a job is ready on the phone.

What if a client says a device is causing pain?

That's a clinical question, so it stops and sends the call to a clinician as a callback. If the language is urgent, it follows the escalation script you approved.

Which practice software does it book into?

Cliniko, Splose, PracSuite and Nookal, live as of October 2026. Chimehill reads live availability and only says an appointment is booked once your software has saved it. Using something else? Tell us when you book a demo.

Can we keep our clinic phone number?

Yes. You forward calls to Chimehill — all calls, only overflow when the desk is busy, or only after hours — and you can change that or switch it off whenever you like.

How much does it cost?

Plans start at $249 a month (AUD) for 100 calls; the recommended plan is $379 for 200 calls. Calls past your allowance are $2.70 each. Every plan starts with 14 days free and there are no lock-in contracts.

Will callers know they're talking to an AI?

Yes. Chimehill introduces itself as your clinic's virtual receptionist on every call, and a caller who asks for a person always gets your configured fallback — a transfer or a callback.

Every call deserves an answer.
